I attach great importance to the protection and security of personal data. Below you will find the information required under Art. 13, 14 of the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) regarding the processing of personal data in connection with my website www.legal-operations.com


1. Who is responsible for data processing?


As the operator of the website, I am responsible for the processing of personal data concerning you within the meaning defined in Art. 4 No. 7 GDPR.

2. How do you contact the data protection officer?


As an independent consultant, the legal requirements that would require me to appoint a data protection officer are not met. If you have any questions about data protection or if you wish to assert your rights as a data subject, please feel free to contact me directly.


3. What rights do you have when personal data concerning you is processed?


Your rights as a data subject vis-à-vis me as the controller are regulated in the GDPR. In accordance with the obligation to do so set out in Art. 13 and 14 of the GDPR, I would like to explain the essential content of the most important regulations to you below, even if most of them are not relevant due to the purely informational nature of my website. You can get a more comprehensive overview of your rights by reading Art. 7, 15 to 22 and 77 to 80 of the GDPR in particular. 3.1 Right to object at any time, Art. 21 GDPR


You have the right to object at any time to the processing of personal data concerning you which is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 Paragraph 1 Sentence 1 Letters (e) or (f) of the GDPR, for reasons arising from your particular situation; this also applies to profiling based on these provisions, which is not currently used on my website anyway. After receipt of an objection from you, I will no longer process your personal data unless I can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which outweigh your interests, rights and freedoms. Even if the processing serves to assert, exercise or defend legal claims, I, as the controller, may continue to process personal data concerning you. If I process personal data in order to conduct direct advertising, you would also have the right to object at any time to this processing of personal data concerning you for the purposes of such advertising; this also applies to profiling which I am not currently using anyway, insofar as it is related to such direct advertising. Article 21 GDPR also provides further reasons that give you the right to object.


3.2 Right to information, Art. 15 GDPR


You have the right to request confirmation from me as the controller as to whether personal data concerning you is being processed. You can also request information about the personal data being processed. If you request this, I must provide you with further information about the data processing, as specified in Art. 15 GDPR.


3.3 Right to rectification of inaccurate personal data, Art. 16 GDPR


You have the right to request that I, as the controller, immediately correct any inaccurate personal data concerning you and/or complete any incomplete personal data.


3.4 Right to erasure of personal data, Art. 17 GDPR


You have the right to request that I, as the controller, immediately delete personal data concerning you if it is no longer required for the purposes pursued. Art. 17 GDPR also provides further reasons that give you the right to delete personal data concerning you.


3.5 Right to restriction of data processing, Art. 18 GDPR


Art. 18 GDPR regulates certain situations in which you have the right to request that I restrict data processing. This applies in particular if you object to the processing of personal data concerning you. For the duration of the review, you can exercise your right to restrict data processing in accordance with Art. 18 GDPR.


3.6 Right to data portability, Art. 20 GDPR


Under the conditions of Art. 20 GDPR, you have the right to data portability. This includes the right to receive personal data concerning you that you have made available to me as the controller in a structured, common and machine-readable format and the right to transmit this data to other controllers without hindrance. Insofar as this is technically feasible, you can also request that the data be transmitted directly to another controller.


3.7 Right to withdraw consent, Art. 7 GDPR


If the data processing is based on your consent (Article 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. (a) or Article 9 (2) lit. (a) GDPR), you have the right to revoke your consent at any time without affecting the legality of the data processing carried out on the basis of the consent until the revocation.


3.8 Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, Art. 77 GDPR


If you believe that I, as the controller, have violated the GDPR by processing your personal data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. 4. Which personal data concerning me are processed?


When using the website purely for information purposes, the browser used on your device will send certain information to the server of my website for technical reasons, such as your IP address. This information is processed for purely technical reasons to provide the website content you have accessed. To ensure the security of the IT infrastructure used to provide the website, this information is also temporarily stored in a so-called web server log file. I do not process personal data concerning you using automated decision-making and/or profiling tools.
